This four week session explores the yummy in the tummy goodness that we get when we start to explore tastes and flavours from far off lands. And there is good reason to look at traditional cultural diets when wanting to promote health in our own. There is good reason for the uses of certain spices and food combinations. All those gems of wisdom will be revealed in this series of classes.

Class 1- Easy Indian

There is more to seasoning food than salt and pepper. This class explores the amazing flavours of India as we create dhal, roti, curried veggies, cool cucumber soup and a few additional savour selections and sweet treats. Discovery how beautifully warming, healing and delicious food can be when we start to play with flavours from a land of far far away.

Class 2- Asian Inspired
How do you prepare a balance vegetarian meal? We start by getting inspiration from a culture that has done it for thousands of years. Looking at healthy fermented foods like miso, integrating sea vegetables, on the healthiest things on earth (or in the sea) that we can eat, and mixing and matching flavours and textures. This class is often a surprising favourite with many new foods tasted.

Class 3-  Mexican Fiesta

We'll be exploring the deliciousness of veg loving Mexican food with fresh made burritos, a few types of salsas, chocomole loving goodness among other favourites. Sombreros welcome.

Class 4- Mediterranean Lovers
You haven't lived until you've taken a Mediterranean lover! What? Did I just say that. Well the great food goes beyond wine and olives, though we might enjoy a little of both. We'll explore a traditional mediterranean meal with small courses, loads of fresh herbs and dishes inspired by many of the lands the brush the Mediterranean coast.

All classes are vegetarian and vegan friendly (we do use some honey), wheat and gluten-free, dairy-free, and we do not use any refined sugars, starches or flours of any kind. We are 100% whole and natural with an emphasis on local and organic whenever possible.

  • Best Cooking Classes Yet!

Your class was awesome. I have been to a few of these in the past few years and I have to say you do a great job. Best, most organized class I have been to yet. And your handouts are so great. If I get people with crohns/colitis I will recommend you for sure, you really know your stuff. I think my focus is going to be on stress/anxiety but I am still trying to find my path within nutrition. I work at whole foods so if you ever shop there come to the nutrition department and say hi!
I would love to come to more classes but i am moving in July so life is a bit hectic and I don't want to fill my nights too much. Add me though to your mailing lists I am sure you will see me again in the future.

    Best wishes
    Karen
