Apple Cinnamon Nut-Free Kale Chips

Departing my love for savoury for these Apple Cinnamon Nut-Free Kale Chips has to be one of the greatest decisions I’ve made as of late.


  • 1 head of kale
  • 1/2 cup sesame seeds or tahini
  • 1 whole apple + 1 apple grated or
  • Spiralled on your spiral slicer
  • 1/4 cup coconut nectar
  • 1/2 water or more in order to blend smooth
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch of sea salt


  1. Wash, de-stem and dry your kale leaves and tear them into pieces- about the twice the size of bite size.
  2. In a blender combine whole apple, cut into cubes, coconut nectar, water, cinnamon and sea salt. Blend until smooth.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, toss together kale, spiral sliced/grated apple, and chip coating until evening distributed.
  4. Lay out on dehydrator trays and dry for 8 hrs at 118 or until crisp.
  5. Allow to cool and then store in an airtight container- or just eat straight away.
