Podcast Episode 21: Thrive Foods with Brendan Brazier

Episode: 21

Title: Whole Foods To Thrive with Brendan Brazier

Guest: Brendan Brazier is a professional Ironman triathlete, bestselling author on performance nutrition, and the creator of an award-winning line of whole food nutritional products called VEGA. He is also a two-time Canadian 50km Ultra Marathon Champion. I had the opportunity to chat with Brendan about his book, transitioning to a plant based diet, the balance of our diet and the environment and did my best to find out some personal nuggets.

When I speak to kids about nutrition, Brendan Brazier is one of the athletes I talk about. Awesome!

So excited to learn about this! I competed in triathlons, was injured 2 years ago, and I am finding my way back to health through a whole foods diet and less strenuous exercise. I thought plant based eating was not possible for serious athletes doing Ironman distance races, but this is encouraging.

This is definitely on my wish list! The scientific and statistic backing he gives definitely brings the reasons for alternative eating all together. I can't wait to have such a wonderful resource to back up my new eating lifestyle!
  6. I'd love to win the book. Brendan Brazier is awesome.

I have been on a plant based diet ever since I have digestive issues and it has worked very well. The book will be a good guide and benefit my heath issues.

Brendan's a great inspiration. I've become interested in the raw food diet after listening to him.

I am eating more and more plant based foods all the time but still eat meat. I have been thinking of going totally raw but am scared because I have hypoglycemia and adult onset muscular dystrophy. I think this book may be what I need.
