I have been long time friends with the peeps over at Navitas– and one of my highlights to my frequent trips to California is hanging with Navitas cheerleader herself, Ms. Julie Morris.
When they asked me to help share the love on their Smoothment challenge, I knew straight away what I was going to put together for them- a replacement for the drink that ALWAYS makes people afraid to cleanses and detoxes- giving up their coffee.
Can you believe I was once a coffee drinker? Like a serious one. I brewed it at home. I would buy it on my way to class. All through university I was a coffee girl.
I can also tell you that I haven’t had a cup of coffee since 2004. And I don’t miss it. There are so many more awesome options.
This particular recipe, in honour of Navitas Smoothment is one of my staple standards. This can be made with half ice and half water as a chilly refresher, all ice for an ice cream or even use warm water and make it a full winter sipping coffee replacement.
If you are going to take on a smoothie challenge (which you should) it is guaranteed that smoothies will become a part of your everyday life. If that’s the case, you might also want to start saving those pennies (or perhaps those fivers you’ll save not buying fancy coffee drinks everyday) for a super awesome blender.
