Strawberries and Love

Whenever I cover something in chocolate, I immediately associate it with love. Chocolate will do that. The chemicals in chocolate as we know, make us feel just as we do when we are falling in love. And oh, how being in love is so very satisfying just like chocolate. Chocolate is so delicious in fact, as I once shared before, that more women would rather have chocolate than have sex.

I believe I have proven quite fairly that raw chocolate (cacao) is for certain the most delicious health food ever. So why not enjoy it and love it. Chocolate stimulates the secretion of endorphins and seratonin- there's a perfect phytochemical cocktail for getting our smiles and feeling awesome.  Now, what if we took that chocolate and wrapped it around some juicy fruits, sprinkled with essential fat, fibre and protein rich hemp seeds and then sprinkled with mineral abundant celtic sea salt. Hello most delicious health food ever created in the whole wide world!

I am powering up my creative thinking to develop delicious and easy ways to get these superfoods into you, your friends and family every which way that I can. And when they taste this amazing, look this beautiful and make us feel absolutely deliciously amazing, there really is no way to lose.

Chocolate covered strawberries are health food! Now there's an easy sell. As with the cookies as medicine, Crispy Rice Treats, Superfood Bon Bons, Chocolate Almond Butter Cups, and Super Love Seed Treats, you know where to send your letters and gifts of thanks! Figs covered in chocolate are great too!

I have included my Strawberries and Love recipe below. Would love to know what you love to dip into healthy chocolate or some of your favourite "And This Is Health Food" treats.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries (aka: Chocolate Love)

Chocolate Dipping Sauce
1/3 cup cacao powder
¼ cup coconut oil
3 Tbs raw honey
1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Blend together or melt together over low heat using a double boiler method (large pot with water, smaller pot inside the larger pot for melting chocolate- keeping direct heat away from pot with chocolate).
  • Dip in fruit of choice and place on parchment lined plate
  • Sprinkle with superfood topping of choice (hemp seeds, ground goji, bee pollen, chia etc.) and a sprinkle of sea salt
  • Place in fridge to harden chocolate or freeze for a special frozen treat.
