It happens to the best of us right? We make a meal or a drink that is just so powerful it defies all rhyme or reason and wild things happen. Or not.
This was my super powered spring breakfast smoothie that I was so excited to sip up on Saturday. But apparently it was just too mighty for it's own good and kazaam- my glass exploded. Here is the recipe so you can have the same experience:
Alakazaam Spring Power Shake
1 cup strawberries
1/2 banana or 1/4 avocado (or both!)
8-10 stinging nettle leaves
handful of pea sprouts
1 tbsp raw cacao
1 tbsp bee pollen
1 scoop of your fave protein powder
1 cup ice
1 cup water
sweeten if needed with raw honey or coconut syrup
- Blend and drink so the kazaam power explosion gives you the burst of energy rather than shattered glass.
I highly recommend a wake up such as this. Though of course- I also recommend going to bed at just the right time that no alarms are needed. This begs the question-Hey Ashley, what were you up to the night before that called for a snooze at 7:30 on a school day?
We had loads of great reviews this week, along with our very first not that great review. I love that people can read UnDiet- and even if the full shebang or my language isn't quite for them, they still take on a thing or two for their health. Every bit counts!
The Jew & The Carrot

We know UnDiet may not be for everyone- and The Jew & Carrot made that clear in our first not so rave review. Given enough references that show the book wasn't actually read (we're not agave coated, after-all- it's all about coconut syrup over here), as far as bad reviews go, I think this one is mighty fine. Perhaps next time I'll send along a glossary of terms to explain the meaning of awesometown. Have a read.

Michael Eisen is awesome- he does work with teens and university students to help promote health- mental and spiritual. As I began answering his questions about how philosophies of the UnDiet can be applied to teens I realized, me, oh my! I really could have used this book when I was 18. You'll enjoy this interview for sure- very different from the others.
