Unless you’ve written a cookbook, it’s hard to really explain what a recipe means. For me, every recipe has its own story: a trip to the market, a flip through a magazine, a memory of a favorite meal, a passing image on Pinterest, or a craving that inspired the creation.
In my case, there is also a desire to get a dose of some nutrient or another. And so every recipe begins to have its own story. But either way, each and every recipes becomes important. But when it comes to putting together a cookbook, like the UnDiet Cookbook; the recipes need to work with each other to form the meals that create your fond memories.
As such, not all of my recipes made their way into the final printed book. It’s not because they weren’t good enough. In fact, there are some recipes that didn’t make it in that are my favourite recipes of all time. They are recipes that I still make in my kitchen quite frequently.
This mini collection of recipes makes me so happy because now they have a place to call home.
