Fruit Hunting Comes To Town

You know I have a thing for weird fruit. Wild food that tastes like candy is my dream. Whether I'm up North in Haluburton snacking on blackberries or Spikenard (I'll explain another day), eating cacaco fruit in St. Lucia or everyone's fave rambutans in Hawaii- there is something special about very, very strange fruit.

When I was sent a link to the film trailer for Fruit Hunters- I knew that I loved it before I even saw this:

I turns out that I knew someone, my dear friend Vanessa, who knew someone- Mark Slutsky, the writer on this film. So lucky, duck me- I had the opportunity to chat with Mark about this movie, weird Hawaiian fruits, mango auctions, Italian fruit savers with amazing names and people obsessed with fruit. Watch!

Visit TheFruitHunters.com to find where it's playing in your city (or to help make sure it gets played in your city!)

The film opens this weekend in Toronto and Montreal and how much you show your love will be a big part of how long, far and wide it will be shown. GO SEE IT!

Have a great weekend!

xoxo

Miracle fruit? Probably one of the coolest things I`ve ever experienced! A lovely friend of mine hosted a miracle fruit party where we all brought one food item that was sour or bitter etc. We all ate a miracle fruit and then tried all the food that people had brought. Most of us had upset stomachs after all the weird food combinations, but it was still the most fun thing ever!

Nice interview. I read the book a couple of years ago and enjoyed it, then the movie trailer started popping up on my Facebook news feed last month. Will definitely see the film, but not tonight. Possibly tomorrow.
