For 1 Apple
- 1 apple
- 1/2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup water
Filling (for 1 apple)
- 2 Tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 2 Tbsp raisins
- 2 Tbsp chopped walnuts
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- pinch nutmeg
For 6 Apples
- 6 crisp red apples
- 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 cup water
Filling (for 6 apples)
- 3/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 3/4 cup raisins
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- pinch nutmeg
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Core apples using a melon baller, leaving the bottom of apples intact so they hold the stuffing.
- Mix filling ingredients together and scoop into apples.
- Place apples in a baking dish with the lemon and water in the bottom of the dish.
- Bake uncovered for about 50–60 minutes, until apples are tender.
- Serve hot.
