  1. I appreciate your reviews and your work at large, I am a longtime fan! I am submitting a comment to draw attention to a few errors. The $29 membership is not required, you can shop without it. Also no one is required to shop under a consultant! You can shop at Beautycounter.com, if that’s your preference – this is of big importance to Beautycounter, allowing the customer to shop where/how/when they want and not being locked in to anything. Lastly, no starter kits are required if you want to become a consultant – they’re a great deal, but most people don’t choose them. It’s a flat rate $50 to run your backend website, the rest is optional!
I appreciate everything you do and all you contribute to the health community and appreciate your perspective greatly.

  2. So glad you finally did this review (I was one of the people asking). Appreciate your insights, thoughtful research and honesty as always! I am also glad to hear that Beauty Counter is better than most as I know so many involved in it.

  3. Thank you for doing all this research! I am not a seller, member, and I actually just buy my products directly from the site (not through a consultant) like I would any other product. It’s the only line my skin seems to thrive on and the only less-toxic deodorant I’ve found that works for me…so I was nervous to read but your review helps me feel better about it. Appreciate it!

  4. Prior to COVID, the registration fee was $98 (not $50) because so much of the work was done in person. That registration fee included print documents and resources (look books, flyers etc) because most people wanted to see things in hard copy! Like everyone, we needed to pivot over the last year, and launched the $50 digital enrolment only. No paper products, all digital. Both were available to choose from until recently when we did away with the $98 altogether. Now it’s just the $50 Digital Enrolment Kit with the option to add a variety of starter kits, varying in price but starting as low as $162CAD (again, always optional!). The current “Beautycounter.com/Join” page reflects this info, as well as the FAQs on the Join section, but I’ll for sure take a look at the help page and submit any errors to head office, that need to be fixed. Thanks!

  5. Thank you for your post on this company! I love reading your perspective when it comes to healthy products. I did recently join as a consultant, so I can share a view pieces of info to update in your post for you. I only had to pay $50 Canadian to join to have a website to share with others. I had the option to purchase a kit at a great deal, but did not have to purchase if I did not want to.

  6. Thank you for your honest and unbiased review of Beauty Counter. Your commitment to providing readers with information free from affiliations or compensation is truly commendable. It’s clear that your dedication to empowering your audience through insights on fragrance, ingredient choices, and personal care products is a valuable resource.

As a reader, I appreciate your transparency and the effort you put into researching and sharing your opinions. It’s reassuring to have a trusted source like you, especially in an industry where authenticity can be hard to find. Your review not only answers the burning question about Beauty Counter but also encourages readers to make informed decisions about their beauty and skincare choices.
