Ultimate Elixir Recipes Infographic

Elixirs are a staple in my life. Pretty much every morning I brew up a cup of tea, then dump it into my blender and mix in a host of awesomesauce herbs, power foods, fats and settle in to enjoy the warming goodness. My recipes are simple, they're all dairy-free with the exception of ghee (which isn't really dairy), but this can easily be substituted with coconut oil or cacao butter.

There are some basic things I love all of my elixirs to have:

  • A food that is delicious and powerful (cacao, maca, turmeric)
  • An herb that will heal all our woes (ginger, cinnamon, cayenne)
  • A dash of sweetness to make the taste buds sing (honey, maple syrup)
  • Some fat to make the brain operate like a well oiled machine (coconut oil, ghee)

And so here are some of my simple favourites. (And scroll all the way to the bottom! There's a printable version of this infographic ready and waiting for you!)

Love the suggestions for elixirs, but am confused that the one calls for colostrum pills? I didn't even know there was such a thing in pill form. So bovine colostrum is good for us? I tried looking on your website for info and couldn't find any. thanks!

Hi Meghan, do you have an elixir as your breakfast or do you eat something else along with it? Thanks!

How often do uou recommend the turmeric tea to see health benefits. I have heard great things about it just not sure if it an everyday thing?
    • You can definitely have it everyday. For health benefits and how long it will take to experience them, there are a lot of factors to consider such as other dietary and lifestyle changes.
