Nothing So Dandy As Dandy Blend

Where did I find this?: Where I find all great things... In a smoothie. I was at a health conference in the US and they were sampling this in an amazing coffee style drink. I fell in love and knew I had to bring this home with me... and I did. By the caseload!

Why I Love It: This powdered extract has a rich coffee vibe to it, but actually has the reverse affects of coffee. Rather than taxing stress hormones and the adrenals glands, this nourished the liver and kidney, has a gentle cleansing bonus for the cells and is absolutely delicious.

Why You Will Love It: Because it is an extract (which means it is 100% gluten-free even though there are extracts of barley and rye) it is water soluble. That means, it functions much like instant coffee. A teaspoon or two with a dollop of honey will easily dissolve in a mug of hot water with just a stir. It will add a richness to any chocolate smoothies and if you blend with warm water, hemp seeds and your sweetener of choice you'll have an instant latte. Oh, and it's super affordable.

Why You Need It: This is the greatest product I have found to help people transition away from or just reduce coffee intake.

Tell me: Have you tried Dandy Blend yet or another coffee alternative? What are your favourite uses?

I really, really loved my coffee and would search out the best beans from around the world, and never, never thought I could give up my coffee. It was always so great to sit down first thing in the morning and watch the sun rise with my coffee, or with a friend at a speciality coffee shop and get caught up on our lives. But the day came when for health reasons I had to give up coffee. Herb tea in the morning just didn't do it, then I tried different coffee substitutes. These didn't work until I tried Dandy Blend, the trick is not to think of it as a coffee substitute , but as a really good morning drink , I love the flavor and now I still watch the sun rise with my cup of Dandy Blend. Cheers, Bonnie

I enjoy my dandy blend with a splash of almond milk every morning. I'm wasn't even a coffee drinker when I tried it... but it helped me get off black tea cold turkey.

I was never a coffee drinker either but I loved the taste and dandy blend isn't bitter! I like it with a splash of almond milk and some coconut sugar and a generous sprinkle of cinnamon. Its such a great creamy drink and I love having it during the Fab Detox because it satisfies that sweet, creamy, indulgent craving while cleansing!

I fell in love with Dandy Blend about a year ago... That is just the best morning drink ever. I used to love coffee but had to avoid it as much as possible because it made me suffer - I had belly cramps after each cup. I usually heat up a cup of almond milk and add a teaspoon of agave and a tablespoon of Dandy Blend - perfection :). During summer I was making iced mokaccinos by adding ice and some cocoa powder to the mix.
  4. I love Dandy Blend! I discovered it earlier this year and have been enjoying it so much and in so many different ways. I gave up my coffee addiction a decade ago when diagnosed with some serious, debilitating health issues. I have been working on a draft entry for my blog about adrenal fatigue which is so widespread but such an undervalued diagnosis by most doctors.

I saw your comment about Adrenal Fatigue. If you have any information on what helps you, could you please let me know. I'm sooooo exhausted and looking for help with this.

I have been an avid coffee drinker since the age of 12 (yikes!!!). Dandy Blend was a fantastic way of getting off the java painlessly. I was truly expecting the worst as far as side effects go. It's been four months and my sleeping quality has improved exponentially. I have oodles of energy in the afternoon, and strangely enough, my low iron count has gone up significantly. Perhaps coffee was stripping all the good stuff out of my body. I can't wait to see what other benefits I'll be noticing in the next while. Had no idea coffee was causing so many crappola side effects. I drink it with almond milk and stevia in the mornings, and I can go without, too. The "where's my friggin' coffee panic" upon waking has dissipated completely and I sometimes have my Dandy Blend later in the morning. Thanks, Meghan, for everything you do! Keep up the good work on Planet Earth, Superstar!

I discovered Dandy Blend out of necessity.. I was drinking upwards of 8-10 strong cups of coffee a day... My BP was sky high, I had anxiety attacks, and tingling in my arms and legs.. I also have a well-controlled seizure disorder, and knew the time had come to give up caffeine... I just received my DB today... Had several cups of pretty strong "coffee" and found the taste to be wonderful... After 2-3 cups, I had a strange sensation...and then got really hungry-after just eating! And I'm not even tired like I usually was! Easiest way to give up anything is to substitute it with something better... Dandy Bkend IS BETTER!

Just wondering if you still drink Dandy Blend 'coffee'? Sounds like you met the distributors at the conference and I'm assuming since you brought it home, the company met your standards? I read on the website that the original recipe was found at an obscure shop in Kensington Market! (too bad I didn't know about it last month when I was there). Anyways, I appreciate your article on this product because I decided to try it out.

Thanks for posting this! I was diagnosed w/ Crohn's in 2015 and have slowly been eliminating food/drink offenders that seem to give me grief. Coffee is unfortunately one of them. I have been fairly bummed out about this until I found this post. Just received my Dandy Blend order over the weekend and was delighted how much is tastes like coffee but without any digestive distress!
