Meet my secret to health: An interview with my teacher

 

I am thrilled to be able to introduce this special person to you.

If you have been following my blog, have been on a retreat with me and when you read my book- you likely have or will notice frequent mentions by me of "my meditation teacher". When I say that, I am referring to Thom Knoles.

I first met him my second week in LA in 2006, when I was there to heal my body and mind from extensive stress and imbalance that had resulted in Crohn's Disease. I had never meditated before and always thought I was one of those people that just couldn't meditate. I would get stressed and anxious and silence made me uncomfortable.

As part of my healing, I knew old habits would have to break and so I opened up to everything. It was this openness to all experiences and invitations that led me into a stranger's living room in a small bungalow in Santa Monica where I first met Thom.

Since that day, I have been a regular meditator. My practice has wavered here and there but the effects of not meditating always bring me back to my practice.

When I received a message from Thom, telling me he would be coming from Toronto, it felt like a divine, serendipitous thing. I know that I need to reconnect with my Self as my own path shifts and also know that at this time, six years later, I have created a community amongst all of you whom are ready to receive this teacher and this practice.

I was honoured to have the opportunity to speak with Thom and continue to be astounded at what this practice brings into my life.

Thom will be offering three free 1 hr information talks in Toronto the weekend of December 15th and 16th.

He will be here in my kitchen on Sunday, December 16th at 3:00pm

Following this info session, you can decide whether you wish to take the full course. The program is offered on Monday December 17th-20th at 7am, 11am or 7pm  (90 minutes/day at he time of your choice) in a private room at 18 Yorkville. You do not need to RSVP for the free talks.
